Registration Steps

Thank you for visiting our Registration Page. Registering at One Spark Academy is a personalized process. Each new participant becomes an integral part of our community!

  • If you have never taken a course at OSA: Review our “registrations steps” below. Then, contact us via email to make a request for courses. Please provide some basic information about your student to get started:
    • Child’s name, DOB, grade and/or learning level, pertinent learning goals
    • Intentions: full time, part time, enrichment, etc.
    • Education experience: homeschool, coming from public school, with a charter homeschool, etc.
  • Returning participants: Simply email us to make your requests (although you will need to update Registration Forms annually).
  • Wait for confirmation: You will get a confirmation that there is space in your preferred courses.
  • Do not pay or send in anything until you are assured your courses are available. Registration forms should be sent or delivered at the same time as payment, unless advised otherwise.

Important: If you are registering at One Spark Academy, you assume the responsibility of ensuring a schedule that meets your child’s education needs. One Spark Academy is not an accredited school. Although we provide our students a quality education and a rich curriculum that can meet (or exceed) traditional school requirements, we do not provide official transcripts or report cards. Our participants, whether full time or part time, are either privately home schooled (whose parents file a PSA with the state of California– PSA means Private School Affidavit), or are enrolled in a public school homeschool program or school which offers an independent study curriculum. Please note that the following public schools are NOT affiliated with One Spark Academy, but homeschool students who attend these public schools often take classes through outside vendors, tutoring centers, and places like One Spark Academy.

If you are new to homeschooling, and need help understanding your homeschool options, log onto the California Homeschool Network web site and click on Homeschool FAQ.

If enrolled in a homeschool partnership program or charter school, you should meet with them ASAP to establish a general course of study prior to registering at One Spark Academy.

Registration Steps for One Spark Academy:

      • Step 1: Select activities from our schedule.
      • Step 2:  Email us directly to request courses, or if you have questions. You’ll get an email to ensure there’s space in your requested courses. If there is no room in some or all courses, your student can be added to a wait list. *Mid-session enrollees are always welcome, space pending, and receive a pro-rated course fee, which is not shown online. 
      • Step 3, FORMS: Once assured of space, a spot will be held in requested courses for three (3) business days pending arrival of paperwork and payment. Please complete the following forms and mail them in, or hand deliver if we’re in session, as well as the online survey:
          • One Spark Academy 2016-2017 Registration Form, and SIGN WAIVER. Return pages 1-3.
            • Proof of Immunization: Please see Immunization requirements for 2016-2017 school year. 
          • Participant Agreement read and signed by your child. Please make sure your child understands our philosophy and is proactively choosing to take One Spark Academy courses.
          • Media Release please check off and sign.
          • OSA Math Survey if taking any math class (directed or MAYL).
      • Step 4: Payment should be sent in with registration forms. Do not pay registration fees until your student’s space is confirmed. You may also provide payment in person (if we are in session), or pay online. To request a PayPal invoice to pay fees via credit card, click here. Mail registration, other required forms, and check made out to One Spark Academy to:
