Women in History
Thursday, March 19, 6:00-7:30 PM
This is a free community event, but an RSVP is requested, as we will ensure seating and refreshments for our guests.
Location: Thousand Oaks Library Community Room (near the main entrance, which is “around the back”), 1401 E. Janss Rd.
Details: In collaboration with AAUW (formerly the American Association of University Women) and in honor of International Women’s Day (March 8) and Women’s History Month, One Spark Academy students will present 1st person narratives of five exceptional female leaders. We will also show a short video about Jane Goodall.
The 2026 theme of the National Women’s History Alliance is “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.” This theme encompasses sustainability and equity in areas of technology, education, economic justice, civic leadership, and the environment. It also affirms that shaping a sustainable future means fostering systems that support both people and the planet.
