Drumming Circle with John Lacques of Drumtime
Saturday, November 8th, 5:45-8:00 PM
A drum circle is a rhythm-based tool for unity.
This event will be led by the founder of Drumtime, John Lacques, who has facilitated hundreds of drum circles since 2003. If you’ve never touched a drum before or you are a seasoned professional, you will find a sense of belonging and community in a drum circle. It is fun, uplifting, and dynamic.
Details:
- John will provide all the drums and other percussion instruments. Participants may also bring their own handheld (or standing) drum.
- A drumming circle can be loud. This event isn’t recommended for those who are sensitive to loud noises.
- Dinner will be served FIRST! From 5:45 to 6:30, we will provide a variety of pizza, salad, and dessert. Then we will set up for the Drum Circle.
- The drumming circle lasts about one hour, maybe a bit longer.
- Cost: $35 per person (11 and older). Children 10 and under may join for $25. No children may attend without an adult, and students must be under the care of a supervising adult.
RSVP by October 30. Space is limited to 60 people.
