Drumming Circle with John Lacques of Drumtime
Friday, February 27th, 5:30-8:00 PM
A drum circle is a rhythm-based tool for unity.
This event will be led by John Lacques, founder of Drumtime, who has facilitated hundreds of drum circles since 2003. If you’ve never touched a drum before or you are a seasoned professional, you will find a sense of belonging and community in a drum circle. It is fun, uplifting, and dynamic.
Details:
- John will provide all the drums and other percussion instruments. Participants may also bring their own handheld (or standing) drum.
- A drumming circle can be loud. This event isn’t recommended for those who are sensitive to loud noises.
- Dinner will be served FIRST! From 5:30-6:15, we will provide a variety of pizza, salad, and dessert. Then we will set up for the Drum Circle.
- The drumming circle lasts about one hour, or a bit longer.
- Cost: $30 per person (11 and older). Children 10 and under may join for $20.
- No children may attend without an adult or under the care of a supervising adult. Anyone attending must be old enough to drum.
RSVP by February 20th. Space is limited to 60 people.
