Sparked by one student’s interest in the archaeological adventures of Indiana Jones, Laura Erlig’s Archaeology class in Session 3 explored the archeological process, by developing note taking skills, studying historical evidence, understanding science inquiry, and participating in hands-on experiences. The main project in this class was the mummification of chickens using various mummifying techniques found across the globe. Students used the skills they learned to interpret what they uncovered in their archaeological dig. Enjoy this short slideshow of pictures taken throughout the course of the class!
